ChatFi ("we", "our", "us") provides a social commerce and payments platform that allows merchants to sell products and accept Naira and USDC payments. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform, whether as a store owner, staff member, or buyer.

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account details: name, email address, phone number
• Store information: store name, description, logo, policies
• Payment details: wallet addresses, bank account information for payouts
• Order and transaction data: purchases, shipping addresses, order history
• Communications: support requests, staff invitations

• To operate and maintain your store and process transactions
• To facilitate payments in Naira and USDC between buyers and sellers
• To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and account notifications
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• To improve our platform and develop new features

4. Custom Themes

If you upload a custom storefront theme, we sanitize and validate the submitted HTML and CSS before storing or rendering it. We do not execute uploaded scripts. Custom themes are rendered only on your own store page and are not shared with other merchants unless you explicitly choose to make them available through a template marketplace.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with payment processors, hosting providers, and service providers strictly to operate the platform, or when required by law. For stores that display ads, we also share data needed to serve and measure those ads with Google, our ad-serving partner.

Some stores on ChatFi may display ads served through Google Ad Manager to help cover platform costs. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage your ad preferences at google.com/settings/ads.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted sessions and access controls, to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Store owners can manage staff access and revoke permissions at any time from their dashboard.
